Physical memomry dumping error because of webcam?

May 4th, 2013 by XavierPedia™ Writer

Question by xavier: Physical memomry dumping error because of webcam?
I have DELL XPS M1530 laptop. Whenever it recovers from Sleep mode, the webcam light starts flickering and makes an unknown alerting sound with each flicker. And when I try to video chat with someone on Skype, it gives me physical memory dumping error and my pc restarts. What could be the reason?
It also gives me an alert sometimes that the installed hardware can function faster with USB 3.0 port.

Best answer:

Answer by Richard James
So analyze the memory dump. It might be a driver issue.

Since its inception, The UNCF/Liberty Bank Ball in the City has raised more than $ 2 million, with proceeds supporting over 4,000 students who attend UNCFs two member HBCUs in New Orleans, Dillard University and Xavier University, and the more than 60,000 students around the country whose education UNCF makes possible.

The UNCF/Liberty Bank Ball in the City is a chance for everybody who values students and education to have a great time for a great cause, said Michael L. Lomax, Ph.D., president and CEO, UNCF. As a community and as a country, we need to invest in better futures for our students and all of us, and the great turnout were expecting will be an investment that will pay dividends in the form of the college graduates New Orleans and the country badly need.

Started by Alden and Rhesa McDonald, The UNCF/Liberty Bank Ball in the City has grown into one of New Orleans premier events on the social calendar. Guests at this years ball will enjoy performances by national recording artists Chant? Moore and the ZAPP band. The evening starts with the VIP Patron Party at 7:00 pm featuring performing artists B.R.W., followed by the live concert at 9:00 pm. In addition to Dr. Lomax, guest speakers include local dignitaries who will talk about the importance of education and ensuring that students have the support they need to get to and through college. The evening will also include a silent auction that truly makes this a Party with a Purpose, all in support of education.

This event has always been a success for our youth looking to make the dream of a college education a reality, said Alden McDonald, president and CEO, Liberty Bank and Trust Company. We will continue to carry forth the message and mission of President Barack Obama to have the most college graduates in America by the year 2020.

UNCF is grateful to Liberty Bank, Alden and Rhesa McDonald, and all of our donors and supporters who come each year to show their support for education said LaJuana Chenier, regional development director, UNCF. Q&A: Why can Proffesor Xavier walk when he finds gene in The Last stand?

April 18th, 2013 by XavierPedia™ Writer

Question by Louis: Why can Proffesor Xavier walk when he finds gene in The Last stand?
Why can Proffesor Xavier walk when he finds gene in The Last stand but loses his ability to walk in First Class?

Best answer:

Answer by MrSquiggles
Good question I think the simplest answer would be that someone screwed up while writing the story for X Men: First class or that First Class is simply a spiritual prequel and is not cannon, OR the other movies aren't cannon, either way its still a pretty obvious blunder.

GQ Australia Man Of The Year Joel Edgerton

Ladies and gentlemen… your man of the year is wait for it… Joel Edgerton.

To many Joe and Jan Doe's a year ago they wouldn't have known who Joel Edgerton was. Insiders, a spread of actors and a few journalists – yes, but others – not much chance.

It wasn't because of lack of talent or good looks – things just were not going his way.

Man, what a difference a year (and a couple of well received firms and some good PR can make) hey.

Hollywood and AussieWood was sure taking its sweet time with this fine Aussie talent, but all's well that ends well.

Journey back to 2008 and Edgerton had just starred in The Square, a flick he co-wrote and his brother, Nash, directed. Well received by many, but no calls. "I sat in Australia going, ‘No one has called me about working for ages, I don’t know if I’m ever going to get another job.’"

A few small roles came Edgerton's way, then quite again. He wasn't sure if Hollywood wanted him.

"I’ve had a lot of ‘moments’ and near misses, stops and starts in this whole game," Edgerton says "I’ve been in it for 15 years and I’ve done some things that are good and some that are bad, things that deserved more recognition. My whole journey and career has been really interesting but the one element it never really had was any sense of great momentum."

So what's happening for Joel? Last year Animal Kingdom hit the mark. Then Warrior. Would you believe he has three flicks on the way even before the release of Bazmark's The Great Gatsby, currently shooting in Sydney, with a few more projects in the works.

Oh, it was raining cats and dogs outside the awards, with fans getting drenched, and some media also copped a bit of a spray. Our boy Joel was dry as a bone however. Make no mistake, his luck has changed for the better.

Little wonder that brilliant Aussie talent is this year's GQ’s Man of the Year.

The magic of SL is in the beauty and journey of this place, but the avies are real people who share their real lives on this grid… and this memorial was a reminder.

Russ' partner in life and business for over four years bid his final goodbyes to his dear friend dubbed the "Quiet One." Tery offered a portion of her land on Dynasty for a lasting memorial site and first son, Xavier wrote a moving poem to offer comfort for the rest. And RamesseII created a beautiful machinima video.

The magic of SL is in the beauty and journey of this place, but the avies are real people who share their real lives on this grid… and this memorial was a reminder.

Normally, at 2:30 PM, on any given day during the work week, this section of downtown Washington would be busy with people. Due to the 'snow storm' on this Friday afternoon, the streets were almost void of people. And not unlike I, this cameraman and news anchor man were photographing and reporting on thee empty streets at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and K Street.

The Full Dollar project is a collaboration Departures, Outpost for Contemporary Art artist-in-residence Xavier Andrade and a team Occidental College media art students, who will examine the tradition of fine art and hand-painted signs in the north east neighborhood of Los Angeles, Highland Park. The project culminates in the fall with a revitalization effort to generate fixtures of artwork on select storefronts on York Boulevard led by Andrade’s Full Dollar Collection, five groups of sign painters, contemporary visual artists and business owners.
